Silvia Manconi
I am a Marie Sklodowska-Curie fellow at LAPTh. My research and life trajectory took me (so far) to Turin, Italy, where in 2019 I obtained my Ph.D. in theoretical physics and astrophysics; to California, where during the first half of 2017 I was a visiting student researcher at SLAC and Stanford University; to Germany, where I was a postdoctoral research at the Institute for Theoretical Particle Physics and Cosmology (TTK) at RWTH Aachen University, before moving to Annecy in December 2022.
My research interests span from dark matter indirect searches with various astroparticle messengers, to multimessenger investigations of galactic and extragalactic astrophysical emitters, to cosmic ray phenomenology. All seasoned with advanced statistical and machine learning tools. I am passionate about photography, literature, and art. I love the sea and west coast sunsets.
