Louis Christoph

I joined the cosmology group of Dr. Azadeh Moradinezhad at LAPTh as a PhD student, starting fall 2025.  Prior to arriving at LAPTh, I completed my Master’s degree at RWTH Aachen University in the cosmology group of Prof. Julien Lesgourgues. My thesis focused on the analysis of large-scale structure (LSS) galaxy surveys, where I developed an efficient pipeline capable of handling high-dimensional cosmological parameter inference and helped implementing a theoretical bispectrum model to access non-Gaussian information.

My research interests involve a series of projects aimed at constraining fundamental physics with the LSS. A central part of this research will be the analysis of primordial non-Gaussianities from the Euclid galaxy redshift survey. For this I will work on a detailed treatment of observational systematics such as the survey window function and integral constraints. As another aspect of my thesis, I will explore skew spectra as a way to capture bispectrum-level information at reduced computational cost and with improved interpretability. The aim of which will be to advance these novel summary statistics to be able to analyse data with them. Finally, I am interested in investigating simulation-based, likelihood-free inference methods for LSS, with the goal of fully exploiting the richness of upcoming data sets.
