Welcome to the webpage of the Astroparticle and Cosmology group at the Laboratoire d’Annecy de Physique Théorique (LAPTh) in Annecy (France).
We are a team of theoretical physicists whose goal is to achieve a better understanding of how astrophysical objects, and the cosmos as a whole. We live in an exciting time, where a number of observatories is providing us with high precision data, notably covering wavelengths and messengers beyond the visible light. Thanks to these observations, we test the extent to which currently known physics laws and principles are sufficient to describe these systems, or if one needs new constituents and interactions to describe the data. We are interested in activities ranging from theoretical models to phenomenological predictions, from methodological innovations to data analysis and inference, in particular using cutting-edge statistical and machine learning tools.
